Proof that your creative zing can be a real occupation

Having just completed a Performance Certificate in Classical/Operatic Voice through Trinity College London, Simone Pitot has been described as 'the female Jeff Buckley' (Soma Songwriter Search, 2007). By day, Simone works in the legal department of a company in the city, spending her time conversing with office equipment, moving paper around desktops, and any other such things that may make her appear efficient. Once the night descends, she can be seen performing her haunting and emotive alternative folk compositions in bars and clubs around Brisbane. Simone is also a classically trained guitarist taking influences from Elizabethan Lute compositions, 60s folk and anything else that takes her fancy.

Simone has recently been accepted into the 2008 Young Artists Mentorship Program through Youth Arts Queensland where she will engage in a 9 month mentorship with renowned producer, Caleb James.
