Garry Emery is design director of emerystudio, a prominent communications design practice based in Melbourne. They undertake work in Australia, Asia, the Middle East, the United Kingdom and America. Their work encompasses a broad range of design activities, including corporate communications and branding; and design for exhibitions, urban spaces, moving image and the written word.

The studio has won many design awards, including the Gold Award from the Tokyo Type Directors Club; the Gold Award from the Biennale of Graphic Design, Czechoslovakia; the Gold Award from the New York Type Directors Club; and awards from the Society of Environmental Graphic Design, USA. Garry Emery is a member of Alliance Graphique Internationale, and has been awarded the Royal Australian Institute of Architects Presidents Award for services to architecture.
