I thought this piece showed allot of promise but suffered from some basic interactivity issues. You do need to visually guide your user through the experience. There were some dead end that caused me to restart. If I couldn't work out how to get back to the main index then probably most users can't. The unpolished feel was under executed. It's hard getting the handmade style to work and often requires more editing and user feedback than slick pieces. Good heart though...would love to see more work like this.

quite interesting if not really my cup of tea. sometimes I felt a little lost in navigating through the three naratives but it reminded me of some early internet projects that had random navigation with surprising effects which I liked. nice not to always be overly structured.

Nice concept, but I don't think that it has been delivered very well. The scribbles are just those plain boring scribbles that you get from using the standard brush in flash (it lets your other artworks down in terms of design)...experiment more with a table or something that will create better 'scribble'. Also, I found this extremely difficult to navigate. You need to make it easier for the user to explore/navigate the site. I had to keep restarting the swf to get back to the main page. So if there is a hidden way of getting back to the main page (I found one on the Hilary section)...then you need to make it more obvious by drawing the users attention to it and then using a consistent style of element to train the user on how to navigate the story.

I know a bit about this case and have watched the film, but this is an intriguing and original retelling of the story. This really captured me. Good job.

Gracie, love ya work! Any plans to expand this project further?

Perhaps some video elements or some Super 8 film? Even some after effects work with more photos...

Would be more than happy to contribute.

Derryn.
